I love this time of year! We have started a new year,we are already looking towards spring and as the days get lighter – slowly but surely – there is more creative energy around. To organise the house, to make plans for the year, documenting our lives and even start a new hobby. I cleared my craft table and reorganised things a bit to have more space to work and to think and to put on paper and card all the new ideas that keep popping into my mind as we enjoy the light and (hopefully) more sunshine than rain.

Little Birdies

I wanted to try out one of the stamp sets I hadn’t even opened yet, the lovely Aviary. I made a whole selection of cards all following a color theme: River Rock – Cherry Cobbler – Night of Navy – Elegant Eggplant.

I love this cute and versatile stamp set and was very pleased with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border too!

Owl Punch Class coming up!

It has been terribly quiet here in my blog, I apologise! But there is a good reason for it – I am expecting a baby. I have been feeling so sick for the last couple of months that I couldn’t even think of crafting. Now however I feel better and am all excited to plan future classes and do workshops!

STAMPIN’ UP! OWL PUNCH CLASS

Discover the possibilities of the owl punch! The punch is not just for the owls but many more fun things you never thought of. The class includes four lovely projects and is suitable for both beginners and advanced crafters.

If you want to order the punch the class must be prepaid by Nov 30^th to make sure we get the punches ordered in time. You don’t necessarily need a punch to attend the class, I will bring one to use.

At the Market

I had a stall at a market for the Local Producers and had a lovely time! Sales weren’t great but lots of interest in courses and classes which was great.

The weather wasn’t the best, it was windy and humid but at least it didn’t rain. And actually this was a good test for the products, especially glue & double sided tape. I noticed when you use proper products, like Tombow Glue or Sticky Strip, you don’t have to worry that the embellishments or card toppers start to fall off!

I had prepared lots of little thing to sell.

I made price tags using blank tags & Baroque Motifs -stamp set with Crumb Cake ink.

Here are some close ups of some of the things I had made.

I had covered small note pads using Forest Walk & Elegant Soiree patterned paper packs (note: retiring papers!), Manhattan Flower Embossing Folder to create the embossed rose on the cover, Fours Frames Stamp set & Decorative Label Punch.

I had post it note holders with various decorations.

These fun punch art bookmarks were quite popular. The punches I used for the sheep are: Scallop Circle Punch, Two Step Owl Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch, Heart to Heart Punch, Two Step Bird Punch. For the frog I used 1-3/4 circle and 1-3/8 circle punches, Two Step Owl Punch, 1-3/4 x 7/8 Oval Punch.

These mini post it note keyrings are super cute and sold well. For these I used various ribbon and colored cardstock together with Fox and Friends & Clearly For You stamp sets.

I also made some keyrings using patterned paper, seven pieces of scallop circle punch outs glued together with Tombow and one embossed punch out to give some texture to the back. Both sides are covered with a layer of Crystal Effects. I got the idea for these from Stampin’ and Stiches Sarah. What a great and fun idea!

These were probably my favorites: flat lollipops (choco & toffee, bought from abroad) covered with a cute and easy to make cover. These would make a perfect party treats, wouldn’t they!

Some simple goodie bags made with Top Note Die, Four Frames Stamp set and Decorative Lable Punch, Fox and Friends Stamp set, Scallop Circle Punch and Circle Punch. Easy yet effective. The flower lollipops on the sides of the basket are made with two flowers stamped with Flower Accent (again a retiring product!!!) with loads of different inks – I just love the colors! For a little detail I tied a short bit of ribbon underneath of the flowers.

I had a big box full of these little gift boxes made with Pillow Box Die, the lovely patterened papers, satin ribbon, Clearly For You & Four Frames stamp sets, Circle & Scallop Circle & Decorative Label punches.

The market was a great place to meet people and I am definitely trying to attend next month too!
